How long will it last?

The color longevity is not an exact science, there are many factors including skin type, exposure to UV light as well as skincare products that are certainly part of the equation. Majority of clients will come back for a “color boost” between 1-2 years to retain the shape and freshen the color but The client is never "locked" into continuing services with their permanent cosmetics they can simply allow them to fade away and use the gradually disappearing pigment as a guide for their pencil with a perfectly symmetrical shape. Maintenance fees apply to refreshers or touchups of Tina's own micropigmentation work (returning patients). Cost varies according to length of time since last procedure, amount of fading, and work required.

Will this look natural?

Yes. Tina prides herself on doing the most natural-looking work in the industry. Remember, the color is placed "in" your skin and not "on" of your skin, giving you a natural, softer look. And remember that permanent makeup is not intended to fully replace cosmetics, so if you ever want an even bolder look, you can certainly do that by wearing more makeup.

Does it hurt?

Tina's topical anesthetic is as good as it gets. Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the duration of the procedure. Clients are usually pleased to discover that it is no more painful than tweezing or threading. In most cases clients report that on a scale of 1-10 that they feel between a 1-3!

How long is the healing process?

Please see individual service FAQ for specific ............ of what to expect after each procedure

How safe is this process

It is very safe. To ensure your utmost safety, all needles and handles are one-time use only. Tina opens them in front of you and they are thrown into a sharp-safe container at the end of each procedure. Tina also adheres to strict rules set out by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and she has also completed a blood-borne pathogens course.

Do the color pigments pose allergy problems?

I am asked often about hair colour allergies and cosmetic ingredient allergies. The pigment range that I use has a 25 year history of ZERO ALLERGIC REACTIONS.. In fact, many doctors recommend that people with environmental allergies or allergies to conventional makeup have permanent cosmetic procedures.

Is permanent makeup expensive?

While the upfront costs may appear expensive, when you put it into context, it is quite affordable. The results last up to three (5) years and if you think about the money you spend on tinting or cosmetics over that time, you would find it is likely more affordable to pay for permanent makeup. Tina uses only the highest quality tools and color pigments. Many clients also look at the cost of the procedure as an investment in their time because they don’t have to spend as long doing their makeup on a daily basis.

TINA DOES NOT RECOMMEND HER MICROPIGMENTATION FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OR HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

* Pregnant (there are no scientific tests to determine if the anaesthetic has any affect on the baby, so its just best to wait. Make a plan! Its Something to look forward to doing for yourself after babe comes :) "push present"

* Viral infections and/or diseases

* Organ transplant

* Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)

* Botox in the past 3 weeks

* Accutane in the past year

Do you correct other artists work?

When she can help, she does. Permanent makeup is not like conventional l makeup and you can not just go over and cover old work. You skin will only hold so much pigment so if the old work is still very saturated with pigment there is no room for the new color on top. it may look good immedietely after but it will not hold with time, So if long term results sre not possible an alternante path of removal first will be recomended. A consultation appt is required to determine the best course of action to achieve the results you would expect from Tina.

Should I book a consultation first?

All procedure appointments allow plenty of time to discuss your concerns, outcomes and custom design with your 100% approval before tattooing. Optional makeup design appointment if you want to “test drive” an eyebrow design awhile before tattooing, this appointment is your “safety net.” A separate appointment will be scheduled prior to your procedure. You will receive a facial analysis and trial application of conventional makeup to get an idea of the design of your permanent makeup. Fee is $95 If your procedure is performed within 30 days of the design appointment, $35 will be deducted from your procedure fee.

How many treatments will I need?

Generally 2- 3 treatments with 3 weeks between each treatment are required to achieve the optimum rejuvenation of an area. When treating scarring, at least 5-6 treatments would generally be required.

When will I see results?

Immediately after treatment the skin looks more hydrated. The results are gradual as collagen re- production takes time, most clients report a gradual improvement in their skin colour and texture over 6- 8 week period. That improvement is compounded as each consecutive treatment is performed. So it’s really important to apply the serum provided at home and commit and rebook your treatments to see the best results.

WHEN IS SKIN NEEDLING TREATMENT NOT SUITABLE?

The treatment should not be performed within 3 weeks of having an injectable dermal filler or botox. The treatment is never performed on raised moles, warts or lesions during pregnancy or breastfeeding The treatment will not be performed if the client has an active herpes or acne breakout, however, once resolved the treatment can go ahead after 2 weeks The treatment cannot be performed if there is active psoriasis or if you are undergoing treatment.

What to expect when you have this treatment done.

The skin is cleansed & numbing cream is applied for 15-20 minutes. This minimizes the discomfort and most clients’ grade discomfort as 2-3 out of 10 at the most. The skin is thoroughly treated in such a way that each area is needled about 15 to 20 times. An even flushing is the best indication for a perfect medical grade treatment. Your skin will appear flushed (pink to red) which may last for 12 to 24 hours on average. After the treatment a soothing mask is applied for 15-20 minutes The treatment takes approximately 45 minutes. In total allow 90 mins for your appointment. Please arrive with no makeup on.

How does it work?

This procedure is aimed at stimulating the microcirculation and the natural processes of collagen production and regeneration. Micro-punctures are being inflicted by the hand held Phi-needle pen device (Derma Pen), in the region of the most prominent wrinkles or skin changes and across the entire face. Microneedles penetrate the skin to the depth of 0,2 – 0,75mm and the procedure is considered to be painless. During the treatment specially designed and patented Gel Solution is applied to the skin surface and subsequently absorbed through the micro punctures allowing the gel formula to be active in the deepest layers of the dermis, maximising collagen reproduction, stimulating and renewing skin cells.

Derma Roller Vs Microneedling

Derma Roller Vs Microneedling I get asked alot what the differences are between the Derma Roller and the Microneedling procedure. I have listed some comparisons below for your reference. Derma Roller * Unnecessary risk of skin trauma due to size of needles
* Cross contamination risk
* Difficult to use at exact depth required, everybody has different skin thickness
* Unable to concentrate on and target small areas due to size of device
* Questions around home cleaning, storage & potential of needle damage Microneedling with Tina
* Precise and adaptable needle depth specific to client's own skin thickness
* Small diameter to enable the treatment of hard to reach areas
* Sterile, single use and disposed of safely in clinical environment
* No cross contanimation risk
* Verticle stamping compared to rolling reduces skin trauma
* Use of highly concentrated gels and post treatment products for best results
* Experienced, qualified, licensed and insured skin expert
